Another beautiful wild stallion of the Virginia Range. His name is Artie.

If he's wild, why is he named?
So part of the volunteer work involves inputting information into a database with thousands of wild horses in it. This database is used to tell us who needs to be vaccinated/boosted as well as aiding in identifying the horses and bands. Everything from markings, coat colors, hair directions, and scars is documented to make it easier for others to differentiate one bay from another.

I haven't been out in a few months on account of being pregnant (and as a result, bored out of my mind), which limits how much I can hike. So this photo is from last summer.
