I've been wanting to get a pic of of myself and my viola for quite some time so...here it is!

Close. It's actually a percussion instrument because the hammers hit the strings, rather than pluck or strum them...

i once went to like a music camp type of a thing for mass orchestra, and we had 11 violas! and this was in NZ (which is a relatively small country). It was like mad viola party!!!
