Description Trina is the main character in An Uncommon Surfeit of Lipstick, a quirky, edgy novel by . I found it thoroughly entertaining, packed with comedic twists and I was intending on writing a review, then I changed my mind and decided it'd be best to draw a character instead, as a tribute.

She is wearing a Berkeley College hoodie and was supposed to have her face smeared in lipstick. I spared her the humiliation, for aesthetic's sake.

Indeed, it was an awesome book, and this is a sweet design!  But how do I know it's really her without the lipstick?

I was basically going for an optical illusion - heavy lipstick does make women's lips seem plumper. That garish red of hers is not natural.

It strikes me as interesting that the girl gracing the cover is Romanian, just like me. This cannot be a mere coincidence. The Universe wanted this drawing to happen! 
But seriously now, I'm glad you like it. High chance of it not being exactly how you pictured her, but was I at least close to home?

Yes, the Romanian connection is interesting, and definitely not a coincidence. There are many ways to imagine any character, I think. Your picture is very much in line with my imagination... Great job! (Personally, I can't really draw, so anything I tried to do would be nowhere close!)
