I actually bought the vest online, I didn't think I would be able to make it well enough on my own. The shoes however I did make but were a total pain in the ass D: Essentially I bought a black pair of flip flops and used a T-shirt-like material (because it's stretchy) and sewed/glued the fabric onto the shoes. If you need any more help you can ask me ;3

Oh shit, we've totally got the same theme going on even!!! XD Mine was just normal Shikamaru cosplay (which I bought most of) + random accessories.
I wish I had a Chouji to yaoi with T___T) My sister went as Chouji to my last con and I can't do that with her lulz. XDD

And who says that I don't procrastinate too much??? Usually the week of whatever con I'm going to I get around 10 hours of sleep. (untill Thursday, than I fucking SLEEP) I put stuff off PLUS I'm a perfectionist so everything I do takes a lot of time TT____TT) I've been cosplaying since 2000 and have made roughly 20 cosplays XD;

Compared to younger Shikamaru this one was MUCH easier. (His bolero gave me so much damned trouble)
Most of the pieces were bought and modded. I bought the chuunin vest and the ninja pouches. And the fake cigarette was only 45 cents XDDDDD

Mm, I did once, as Sailor Uranus. But it was a totally crappy costume . . . my "bow" was a bow-shaped barrette with black stripes all over it. x[)
