I'm really beginning to take comfort in the certainty that your style for wolves is really improving, as this picture alone is a testament to that. Even for a picture whose background you deem mediocre, I still find every aspect of the compiled depiction eye-catching, even the simplicity of the backdrop, and not only to I absolutely adore Link's facial anatomy and the increasingly improved detail of the fur tufts, but his expression, while irrefutably different to your usual renditions, has such a lively feel about it that really tops off your latest and most successful works. And I don't say that in reference to the quality and splendour. The shading and lighting, as ever, are gorgeous, too. ^_^ Overall, this does indeed resemble a screen shot to some extent. Excellent work!
