Francine Moreau was a young introverted tech student who joined a new Cryptid-inclusion class in her school to pick up an easy credit. Part of her class project was to take an internship under a non-human in order to be more accepting of working with them in the future. While she was expecting to work I.T., a paper mix-up put her under the watch of a magical librarian who didn't expect or even want her at first. Sharryan often takes Fran far from home on fantastical and dangerous journeys; way outside her comfort zone.

While the two frequently butt heads, the naga slowly grows affectionate towards her little assistant as she nudges the recluse into a world she's never seen before.
