Could you have at least put out written version of a hasty summery like that? and I know what it's like to feel uninterested in a series after a while. though me that usually just means I need a break to work on something else.

Kiba and Kurenai fend off enemy shinobi, with Kiba having to use his giant dog jutsu. The other two arrive to help a bit, but the battle ends and they return home. On the way, Kiba smells blood, old blood. They happen upon a battlefield, where a few months ago it seems a caravan was travelling and was attacked. The decay around them shocks Kiba and Shino. It shocks Kiba because even though the battle took place months ago, the bodies and blood are still fresh, as if they had just been killed. Shino realizes a connection between this battlefield and Kitsune.
Kitsune learns a lot from the other students. In the final 2 weeks of her stay, she takes lessons from Kakashi when he's not away on missions, he having the excuse of being bored with no students around to teach. Since she's not really a shinobi (and because they can't risk the chance that she may be a spy), she is forced to leave Konoha when her wounds finally heal. Kakashi follows after her, seeing that she was followed by assassins (jeeze, it's been so long, i forget the name of those guys).... ANBU! that's it! lol. The students realize that she's gone, and chase after her after getting permission from the Kazekage. After reaching a far away village, using the speed skills she learned, she realizes that she was followed, and fends off the Anbu, but only long enough for Kakashi to arrive. She runs away before seeing that he knocked them out for her. Of the 4 Anbu chasing her, only 1 is left. The students arrive and find her, and together they fend the last Anbu off. They finally pin him down with Shikaru's shadow jutsu and show him the return summons from the Kazekage, and that Kitsune has been made into a citizen/shinobi. Kakashi appears, letting the kids know they did well, and that he would have stepped in if they needed him. They return to Konoha. They find that it was not the Kazekage that ordered the Anbu after Kitsune. She begins her own investigation on who ordered it.
She passes the first basic tests of being a ... gennin? >.> I don't remember the first shinobi rank. lol. With that done, she spends a few weeks enjoying being with her friends again, even participating in a few missions with them as an odd person out. Finally, she is recruited for a very difficult mission, S Class. Kakashi, Kurenai and Asuma are sent on a retrieval mission. The target was something that would instantly be known to have gone missing, so they take Kitsune along, who has a photographic memory, to look and memorize the contents of a scroll. They sneak in and the mission is a success. However, when Kitsune transcribes the written contents and gives it to the Kazekage, she realizes there was also a secret code, a code that reveals information about a secret organization named Akatsuki. She recognizes the name and remembers the events that occurred during the attack on her caravan (the same one that Kiba had found a few months prior).
There was more that happened... like she participates in the Chuunin Exams alongside Sakura. During the final exam, the battles between the gennin, Neji uses his byakugan eyes and sees her true form. She has a body, yes, but her soul floats above her body, held down by massive chains, her body as it's anchor. Shocked from the sight of it causes him to cry out. Hinata decides to use her vision as well, and collapses from a mixture of horror and sadness. From the moment of Neji's hesitation at seeing her true nature, Kitsune catches him off guard and wins the battle. She becomes a Chuunin, and so does Sakura.
I can't remember a lot of it now. =/ Eventually, she's sent on a mission. On that mission she encounters the member of Akatsuki, Hidan, that murdered her family and the rest of the caravan. She gives her best fight, but she is bested by Hidan. As she lies on the ground, bleeding to death, he finally remembers her. He recalls the battle with her father, a Knight from Europe, and mocks her for not being her father's equal in battle, and the stupidity of coming after him when she hadn't surpassed her father. It's revealed that she was not really alive. Her soul is tied down to her body. Hidan tells her about the forbidden jutsu he had used on them all, but only she was compatible with the curse. She was a walking puppet for him. And now that she was dead, all her knowledge would revert to him... unexpectedly, dogs come from nowwhere and rush to attack Hidan. He jumps away, realizing that more shinobi are on the way. He decides to leave, saying it wasn't time to reveal himself, that the plans of the Akatsuki must be upheld, even if he doesn't like it.
Kakashi arrives in time to find her before she dies. Desperate to save her, to not lose another student, he tries and tries every healing jutsu on her, to no avail. No healing jutsus are compatible with her, due to the curse. She smiles though, knowing he was trying to save her. Desperate to make her final moments just a little longer, he uses his sharingan on her. Inside their minds, she speaks to him for the first time. She tells him that she was from Europe, but she was happy to have made so many friends. He begs her to not die. She pauses and then tells him there was a possibility. She will die when all the blood leaves her body. The blood carries the curse that had been keeping her from crossing over, and acts as the chain between her soul and body. If he could stop the blood from leaving her body, she won't pass on. She warns him though, that she had already died. She asks him, "Which is crueler? To let me die having not avenged my family? or to keep me from resting in peace?" Kakashi decides to save her. He exits the sharingan jutsu and burns all her wounds closed. The blood can no longer escape her body, but she is incapacitated. He takes her back to Konoha.
The story ends with her in her hospital bed again. Kakashi visits her. A daffodil sits by the window. Sakura comes in and they talk. Kakashi had told her about the curse. Sakura's theory is that although not all the blood had escaped, it had weakened the curse jutsu considerably. Kitsune would not wake up until the curse had time to infect all the new blood. They decide to wait for her until she wakes up.
Sooooo yeah. Jyanpu would end on a bittersweet note. The purpose of it was to answer a lot of unanswered questions, fill in plot holes a bit. There was a LOT that was supposed to happen. Another reason I quit was I was overwhelmed by the shear scope of the story I had to tell.
Hope that satisfy's your curiosity. I'll post this in the artist's description so other people can read it too.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and read it so quickly! Jyanpu was definitely a learning experience for me. I had a lot of fun doing it.
If you like my stuff, I'm actually having my original manga published this fall. You can read the first few chapters here, if you like. It's called The Glass River.

Doesn't that break against your contract or something? o.O

>w> But oh there are loop holes, my dear.
Option #1: Tell your parents that you actually know the author (Me! lol). And you want to support my first published book ever. I will write you a note personally asking them to allow you to buy the book if need be.
Option #2: Ask a friend of yours to order it for you. This may be the easier option. haha If your parents ask where you got it, just say a friend got it for you or that you got it from a local bookstore. (the internet isn't technically local, but you don't have to tell them that).
