A fanart of one of my favorite FF heroes, Vincent Valentine.I can't tell you how ooooold the linart drawing is, but I can tell you I found it today and decided to scan and color it! I need more color in my gallery, and I frankly need a small break from JUST doing comics all the time. Enjoy your valentine candy. <3

This is a fantastic feature of Vincent. He is also one of my favorites. The sharpness in the hair is an especially good touch.

I used the airbrush tool, the burn and dodge tools and the smudge tool on it.

I use the same approach, but I set those tools at 10-25%, cuz those tools (especially the burn tool) can really do some damage.

My burn tool has 3 settings besides opacity; where it effects only highlights, midtones, or shadows. :3 I set it to about 30 percent usually, and after I used it, I fix it up with the brush tools. :3
