The right side of his face looks a little weird, But it might be the lightning of the picture you were trying to re-create, I agree you should darken parts of his hair more.

um the brightest parts are just the paper, and then around the edges of his features i use layers, peach - pink - red - tan - light brown - dark brown - black.
