The 70's black and white Savage sword are some of my favorite quarter bin comics. so this was a kick to draw.This will run in some future issue of the
DH comics.

It put lots of presure on what to draw. I even tried to get them to give me a 2 page spread so I could try to draw everything I wanted in one picture.

I love Conan!
Yeah, and I grew up on those Savage Sword comics. I got to see "Conan the Barbarian" in grade school in the movie theaters!!! And, btw, that's how I discovered Conan, though I picked up the series from a used bookstore, a mix of the lancer/ace paperbacks that might be collectors now 'cept I read 'em too much!
Personally, I think the current series is the best ever, not that I dismiss the past ones. I just love especially how they use a "Pulp magazine/typewriter" font for when they quote Howard word for word.
Some elements from the past might be nice, but I suppose for instance the "Living Tarim" series might be "un-PC" nowadays...
