I can imagine a woodland fairy frolicking around with this little beauty attached to her bag or cloak as she collects acorns...Although what they need acorns for, I'm not certain. Hats, maybe??
This is a brooch handcrafted from polymer clay and I've painted it with various metallic powders and waxes. This the the third brooch I've ever made and I tried fixing the brooch backing IN the clay instead of gluing it on after. It worked pretty well, so I'll have to keep practicing with this method. It's very practical but looks kind of messy (when I do it).
