A proposal I decided to do from ...It is my Fire Emblem self, version 2.0.

...wow, was not really expecting results from a random comment of mine. This is sweet.
I personally find myself alternating between "Mercenary" and "Thief" all my life, though I'd have subpar speed and above-average strength for a thief...
Wish I could confidently consider myself a Mage/Sage character though, as they're my favorite unit to bust out.
Personally, I think FE could use more female Mercenaries... & hawt enemy bishops, but that doesn't apply to this picture.

Oh, I know. I was feeling the same because I do love the mage/sage class...but I personally think I'm not bright enough to qualify for that class. <_< Sooo I ended up being a Mercenary cause (I wanted to use an axe) I wanted to give off that "tough woman" impression. : )
Hawt enemy bishops. XD FE should use more female Mercenaries. We have had only a handful whom were of the Mercenary class branch.

Man, if Shadow Dragon (The FE1 remake) hadn't decided to throw in the Myrmidon Class, players probably could have been able to make Female Merecanries on their own.
And we'd probably see how much ass Navaare could REALLY kick. I think the Myrmidon class nerfed his former potential... SO NOT FAIR.
I actually had a Bishop OC that starts as a brainwashed enemy that has to be defeat, but would be revealed to be okay and recruitable in a later chapter (with Amnesia no less). She'd have this whole important subplot to her and everything if left alive.
But yes, I'm serious. More good-looking bishop women. We usually get frikin' middle-aged/old men to fill up that role with supbar status. Having more variety in easy-on-the-eyes prepromotes with awesome stats wouldn't hurt. Heck, even though I don't use Pent and Louise as much in later playthroughs, I'd always use them when you need a big team to tackle the Chapter, and I found them to have really good stats & growths for prepromotes. And Louise has a really cute personality as a married woman...

That's what I try to do. XD But, yeah, she's missing glasses...mainly because in Fire Emblem, there's no such thing as TVs and computers to make people blind (such as myself.) Therefore, it only makes sense for mages to wear glasses. ^_^;
