Well I'm really starting to draw Jazz more lately ._. I'm trying to get his face right, in most pictures I have difficulty with how I imagine his face to be xD I can never get it right ;_;
This one was done because I opened up suggestions on my facebook and this was the first one 8D I was really in the mood to do a pin up style sort of thing to practice my anatomy (which still needs work) and since Jazz is quite muscular I tried to emphasize that.
I kept changing the canvas size cuz I kept messing with the composition hence the weird resolution xD I really tried skin/face detailing as well as a different style of lineart. If you've been keeping up with my livestream, I'm trying a new way to lineart since that seems to be one of my main problems. My works really weak because my lines are weak, so I've tried to improve that - I gave it softer lines instead of such hard black ones so hopefully it doesnt look as generically-cartoony. And i tried working into the tones of the fabric, as well as using a softer simpler technique for the wings rather than detailing each feather.
OKAY Jazz story time~ Jazz is actually the King of Atlantis. He inherited the throne from his father, who made a deal with Poseidon to protect Atlantis from human kind.
Jazz is descended from not only Poseidon due to the clause of the deal, but also Venus. Two gods falling in love does not make another god, it makes an archangel. And in turn, Jazz was born as an archangel, though this is unbeknown to him.
