As famous as the Saci, the Curupira is a protective forest entity, famous for attacking hunters who do not respect its laws, such as those who attack pregnant females or newborn animals, leaving footprints with his inverted feet so that their foes will get lost. One way to distract him is with exotic foods, leaving them in strategic places so that it can arouse his curiosity.

Described as a dwarf or goblin with fire hair and green teeth, but also as bald and carrying an ax, or even being very hairy, the Curupira, in my view, like the Saci, brings a lot of the spirit of European fairies, especially the its strong connection with nature, present in so many other forest protection entities in Brazilian folklore. I remember mentioning it when I drew a Trauco here in my Creatuanary, that they could be like "fey-cousins" .

I really liked to make him more simian and ferocious, as if ready to attack with a big club those who dare to challenge him and the place he would defend.
