I wouldn't say it was dull at all. There are some very interesting lighting and textural effects going on. I also think that the angle of the shot enhances the perspective.

Additionally, I wouldn't catagorize this as a manipulation, if all you did was come color adjustments. Those are things that can be easily done in a darkroom. The idea of a maniupulation is that it's probably NOT something that can be done in a darkroom.

When i first uploaded this photo i categorized it as Photography then at some point i changed it to Photomanipulation... Maybe i should change it back, lol
