What you portray here is what I honestly believe to be what a real starship will look like in the next 200-500 years! Good job!

Well it looks like Kissaki Destroyer from NEXUS game. I like that design.

I like it. I get bored of seeing endless spaceships that look like futuristic aircraft with no thought behind the actual physics of space travel. It's nice to see a design that's had a realism injection.

Despite the fact that it looks like a gigantic hypodermic needle, it is well drawn and I like it.

Very cool concept, though I wish you'd put a little in your discription as to how you imagine it would work.

I like the details. Those are what makes this picture work. You've got a good eye.

Next time, try to get the background a little smoother, so you don't have the jagged-look in something that's supposed to be flat black.

Good job.

Good call. I will update the descriptions. I did put some thought in how it would work and it is a good idea to add that.

I also agree about the background. What i did was a total cop out. I was getting board working on the ship and whimped out on the background. I plan to rework it with other ships around it to give it scale with a nice starscape.

Thanks for the critical eye!

wish i was there that stuff gets ya drunk. i'm a poor artist who can't do the art i love for a living.

i came up with plans to do so.

like making images for five years straight without releasing them then flood the art market with my images.

my art shows have gone very good but this city sucks for art. i'm what they call "edgy" and disliked by many artist here.

i say fuck them.

i'm on the verg think how it's spelled of being homeless because of this place i was about to move to Cali but i got arrested the day befor we left and got screwed over, no clothes, my cell phone is gone. and the 'cops' got them all.

what are you drinking on tonight?

First of all, that SUCKS! I am so sorry to hear that. If it were not for bad luck, sounds like you would have not luck at all. I hope you make it to California. I love it here. Looking at the ocean right now.

I too have hit a bad patch in life; wife left me, got laid off, running out of money. If it was not for drawing, i think i would go mad!

Bravo on your professional art endevours. I hope to persue this as a profession some day.

I am Hendricks gin and pinapple. I know sounds strange, but I am hooked.

tallahassee florida and you?

rsandberg In reply to ILIKESURREAL [2007-04-08 22:06:09 +0000 UTC]

I am in San Juan Capistano, basically south orange county. We have quite a cool art scene down here. Laguna Beach has tons of galleries and two large art shows. Also San Clemnte has a great art vibe.

You would thive down here, but it is expensive. I think worth it. Be sure to consider Santa Monica and Vinice as potential landing spots.

I have never been to tallahassee, but I have spent much time in Ocala and Lady Lake. I can imagin someone with your vision is not understood there (was that politically correct enought???). My ex is from there and i always dread going for visits.

She was born in Largo and grew up in Clearwater. Most of her family moved to Ocala but now are returning to Tampa area.

man, you are a professional in illustration like this...
but wouldn't it be much easier if it's done in illustrator?
i like copic marker but it's hard to control the opacity

rsandberg In reply to wingsofwolf [2007-04-07 03:47:18 +0000 UTC]

I have done tons of illustrator work for years now, mostly graphic design and logos. There is some logo in my gallery. It is fun but i enjoy the old school aspects of marker drawing. It is a crule bitch of an unforgiving mistress. For me it is about jurney.

Agreed on the copic. i use the sketch version with the soft brush nip. i have using them more like brushes now. Took me a while to adjust due to my heavy hand, but now i love them.

Thanks for the kind words.
