I commissioned this adorable scene from my good friend J8d , as an illustration for the the short story I wrote recently "Nene and Nao-Nao" .

Naomi (whose family nickname is Nao-Nao, pronounced roughly as "nay-oh nay"), is helping her platoon leader Sgt Major Nene (pronounced as "nay-nay") to unwind after a long tiring day in her too-small uniform sandals (notice the strap marks on Nene's poor big feet!). This illustration is from around page 12 or 13 of the story, by the way.
