So I wanted this to be like 100% no flaws perfect, which means this took me like 3 months to do, mostly from deleting everything and starting over, so I figured I might as well put as much effort into it as possible if I can't get it to look flawless. I'm sorry in advance.So approached me a little while back prompting the notion of an art trade. Because Kris is fantastic and I love drawing things for lovely people, I agreed in a heartbeat.
So the whole thing here was Sara and (some) of her Pokemon doing cute things. I picked Nadia, Pilot, and Terry because I wanted to do a warm picture, and they had some lovely warm tones~ In this situation, they're actually preparing to bake a cake, though I'm not sure a mixing bowl and some batter on a spoon really conveys that :'D
Realtalk though? I love drawing Sara. Like, I love drawing other people's characters in general, but Sara is among my favourites. But I also found out that I love drawing her pokemon as well: I haven't really practised with raptors/birds of prey, nor have I done extravagant crests, so Pilot was incredibly fun to do in the sense that I've never drawn pokemon like him before! Terry and his floof are just as fun as I remember, and Nadia was a fun experiment too, though I think Kris draws her best, as I'm not exactly accustomed to drawing sentient plantlife just yet.
Ah anywho- tl;dr, this was a super fun project! I got to practice a bunch of new things, even if I didn't do too well with em (lineless bgs :'D) and the fact I was doing it for a fantastic person made it all the more worth it to put in all the extra effort.

The scene is so peaceful and relaxed, I adore the warm glow that your art often has. <333 And the perspective is rad, too - it makes me feel like I'm sitting on the kitchen floor and listening to their conversation. wistful sighing

BIRDS OF PREY CAN BE CUTE TOO AND PILOT IS NO EXCEPTION~~ NADIA'S LEAVES ARE IN PRISTINE CONDITION- NO WILTS OR SCARS OR ANYTHING. GOTTA MAKE EM LOOK TENDER YET FIRM, TO THE POINT WHERE YOU JUST WANNA BE HUGGED BY EM <33
I bet the poor fluff can hardly wait to learn some kind of attack that can help alleviate the consequences of his diminutive stature. Though that will be the day when the pastries taste distinctly like Eevee, and while I'm sure that won't be too bad a taste, I'm also sure that the occasional tuft of eevee fur calling the cake it's home won't do much to improve the palatability of the cake.
Ahhh well I figured you woukd like something cute, and I feel this was a scenario many people can relate to- lazy afternoons spent mulling the time away doing something fun. Spending time together making something delicious in the process <333 I feel like I went a little overboard on the warm in this one, but it really makes me happy that you like that ;;u;;
Ahhh gosh kris i'm not really worthy enough for all these kind words- I just tried to do as good as my abilities would let me.
