THIS IS INTRODUCING JIDO'S PICTURE BECAUSE I HACKED HER ACCOUNT AND STOLE HER PICTURE MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH.No just kidding, she's right next to me supervising my every move.
So...uh...a year ago, Jido drew her FIRST rough draft of this picture in honor of someone SPECIAL (but not so special anymore). It was originally a goldfish. And then a year later, she drew her SECOND rough draft, which was a whale, but a friend of ours, , critiqued that the girl looks like she was mounting the whale. So she fixed it for the 123080893245th time, and here it is : D Such a long journey to reach this destination, therefore the title, Journey *cheeseeeeeey*

I just love the sheer randomness of this picture ^^ and the contrast between the whale and the sky is a nice touch, it makes the image very vibrant.
you should really do a cloud tutorial, the clouds are amazing, cartoongirl isn't the only one who wants to learn to do that XD

Yes, I draw a kajillion drafts per picture too! I do tons of thumbnail sketches, and I sketch in a very messy style and I'm never quite satisfied >___>;;
Ah, let me explain. I drew this on watercolor paper, so the blues you see in the sky are watercolor paint. Most of the clouds were formed by leaving white space while I was watercoloring, and then I used white acrylic paint and mixed with watercolor (which I'm not sure is a good idea...).
