Description
Commission forMy version of his character Kakila, a dark priestess.
It has been a while since someone wanted a plain standing pose for a picture.
As for the background, he wanted a huge dimensional portal with dark architecture with soldiers coming out. The demon statue behind her was done for fun.
I studied 's work for this, particularly his hair technique. He's not really a background person though, so the background is basically a technical study of Wayne Barlowe's mind-blowing painting, Wargate.

This is an exquisite piece. The background is some of the best I've seen you produce. For some reason it reminds me of the Dark Elves/Dark Eldar (from Games Workshop's Warhammer games).
I particularly like the lighting, and the main character exudes an almost tangible aura of dangerous sexiness.

Kind of reminiscent of the Cryx in Warmachine. I dig it!

The Cryx army from the Warmachine game is very dark dealing with magicks (usually glowing green though instead of blue) and their undead minions. Plus the circular ring of runes is common in the game. And of course most there generals are smoking hot babes.
