This is an image from the fairy tale "The White Snake", collected by the Grimm brothers.
The lineart was copied by someone from the original picture, and is this: , so it was not just like the reference. I decided to retouch some details, as always (faces, a foot). The reference is an original illustration by Una: . It was made in 1966 for an illustrated series of fairy tales. Besides the books, they made also several editions of the series composed by books+records (and later, in the years, the records were replaced by cassettes and then by cd's, with mp3 too, lately). They are the renown "Fiabe sonore" (Sounded Faity Tales). The copyright of the most recent series (including the lineart) belongs to Fabbri Centauria srl.
One hour and half or two with Caran D'Ache and Faber-Castell watercolour pencils, a mechanical pencil, an HB pencil and a Faber-Castell PITT artist black pen, on copy paper.

Questa è un'immagine tratta dalla fiaba "Il serpe bianco", raccolta dai fratelli Grimm.
Qualcuno ha copiato la traccia dalla figura originale, e non era proprio identica al modello (la potete vedere qua sopra). Il modello è un'illustrazione originale di Una, e potete vederla qua sopra. Fu fatta nel 1966 per una serie illustrata di fiabe. Oltre ai libri, sono state fatte anche diverse edizioni composte da libri+dischi (poi i dischi, negli anni sono stati sostituiti dalle cassette e dai cd, alla fine anche con mp3), le famose "Fiabe sonore" (potete trovarle in edicola anche adesso). I diritti dell'ultima serie appartengono (compresa la lineart) a Fabbri Centauria srl.

Un'ora e mezza o due, matite acquarellabili Caran D'Ache e Faber-Castell, portamine, matita HB e una penna per artisti nera Faber-Castell PITT, su carta da stampante.
