I have been wishing to illustrate the coolest ass-kicking pair from classic game ever. I have not seen any good reference to use from the classic character design. I was really hoping to see something better... just like if somebody would use a X-Men char design style to make an artwork of them.

As for Guy, the only pictures available are those capcom versions which are usually really muscle-exaggerated, and the original costume was changed almost completely. Personally, I liked a kind of SNk version (don't ask me from which game it wasis) just like KOf typical char design. Namco vs Capcom illustratioon was quite useful too. As for Cody, I did not like the SFA3 costume and fighting style because kicks were quite slow and short (I might be wrong). Obviously, I was determined to make him hold my favourite weapon so far... that kind of metal bar (a pvc tube?). Forget about katanas, knives or guns.... !
