Guess who got Copic Markers for their incoming birthday?MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
XD Anyway, I experimented with em by drawing Claudia, my latias C:
Unfortunately, these markers are 6 dollars a pop, so I was only able to get 7 or so .3. I'll get more, and once I do more of these type of drawings will look better hopefully XD I wonder what will think .3. (omg she's a wiz at copic markers, look through her gallery)
Ugh, my scanner killed some of it -3- Enjoy~

Also, I was originally going to make Claudia have freckles, but decided against it. But now I see that it'd be a nice addition to her appearence, so I'm gonna draw her with red freckles from now on C: (red freckles cuz of her partly-red head)

so thats like what, over forty dollars if theyre 6 dollars a piece? my prisma markers only cost fifty for a pack of twenty four xD (and that was just a staples, at michaels they were like one hundred sixteen) hope you dont go broke buying those xD

Having never used a copic marker besides testing it out once at the store i dont know the difference except that i cant afford it xD id say it more depends on the person though and the way they color a picture, for example i like prisma markers cause if i want to fill in someones shirt i can fill in the whole thing and have it look very clean and seemless...like i didnt just scribble color on...does that make sense?? but the best part is it lasts, unlike crayola or roseart markers which can dry out so easily (and dont by artist loft markers...they suck) If you by some you could try it out and tell me the difference but to me theyre pretty much the same xD

ohhh this is quite good! :'D I like the shading on the gold colored areas and also the red! the coloring is very clean and doesn't go out of the lines which is great!
if I could recommend something, I'd say that when you're coloring large areas (like the purple parts) to use marker strokes going in the same direction so that its more uniform looking C: but other than this this is a really awesome picture!

hmmm I see! I haven't tried to use Prisma markers extensively (I don't have any lol), but I've heard they're just about as good as Copics for the most part :U
except I think the marker tips are different shapes? idk

Also, I remember last year in Comic Con one of the staff member people said that prisma markers were basically copic markers but less expensive, so I'll take their word fer it XD

I think it matters :U because the copic tip that is shaped like a paint brush makes it easier to blend...but whatever floats your boat!

yessss true true but perhaps! I actually don't even color a lot with markers anymore nowadays...I have so little time D:
oh yeah! I forgot to tell you a helpful tip in case you didn't already know! when your markers begin to run out of ink, instead of paying for refill bottles just use rubbing alcohol--it doesn't last forever but it works for a pretty long time :'D
i learned this the hard way, i have like a million refill bottles dfjhskjfh
