Yeah, for the life of me I can't seem to draw male anatomy properly either :') I'm also in the middle of drawing a guy right now and I have no idea what I'm doing XD
Don't mention it, I'd be happy to offer advice anytime ^^

Thank you, I'll try my best! It's just a sketchbook drawing though so don't expect too much ^^

Every other artist I know feels the same way, it's weird x) Yeah, there are times where I can only use my sketchbook because my hand just refuses to work with me when I'm trying to draw digitally DX But it is quite relaxing though lol I never draw guys because I can't male anatomy :') (LOL really?? I'm literally the same way except with girls XDDD) I think that would be a nice idea, I'm also curious about how your sketchbook drawings look like now (especially how you draw guys) ^^

haha aww thank you for the interest xDD I can send some pics via notes if you would like? ^-^ Β and the struggle is so real with guys... like is it an opposite sex thing? Like I have a couple guy friends who can't draw girls for their lives, but can draw guys well?? O-o I wonder what it is xD

No problem! Those drawings were super gorgeous btw β€
Omg Ikr? I have that same problem, but the thing is I know many other artists who can draw the opposite gender very well but fail when they try to draw their own gender O_O It's really weird XDDD

haha I guess xD... but anatomy will always be impossibly hard for me xD~ Like I know of artists who are so good at drawing anatomy, and their advice is to "study the human body", and my reaction goes something along the lines of, "what does that even mean :'D"... is that just me?Β Β

lol I know that feeling all too well TTwTT I thought I was pretty ok at anatomy until some others told me otherwise XD I suppose that means to study photos of people and compare body ratios or something...at least that's what it seems like to me? I don't really see what it would mean otherwise??

hahah I feel you... I think my very first full body drawings featured "carrot-shaped" noses(<), hands that were giant pickles, and really muscular calves and thighs xD although nothing seems to have changed :'D so I guess I have to stare at some pictures>>... Also, idk if they meant to copy pictures/use real-life pictures as reference to get better at proportions>>? Idk, how copying leads to improvement tho...Β Β

Β LOLOLOL That sounds like me 10 years ago XDDD lol you're not that bad now, you just need some more practice, that's all ^^ Well, not just stare at pictures (lol) also using them as references while drawing, like how you draw K-pop idols as practice. Basically as you keep on drawing anatomically correct body proportions over and over again (for practice) it'll eventually get stuck in your head and you'll be able to do it on your own without looking at references. It takes some time though
