Hi Rudy. I like this pose a lot. I was looking for an illustration of Moon Knight but didn't see anything I liked. If it's ok with you I'd like to use this image and turn it into Moon Knight for a painting.Β

Sorry for the late response, I haven't been in deviant art but I hope you used it anyway.

This is gorgeous!
I absolutely adore being able to see peoples works before they are inked!

I love the details you can see..
How much effort and talent there is shown through pencil works..
It just amazes me!

Instant favorite!

Wow, I can honestly say I prefer your pencil work to your work being inked... and I love that strong black on white look, but your lines tell such a great surface story. The multiple directions you use, what a shame to loose all that from big swaths of black.

Great stuff, really enjoyed finding your gallery today! Much continued success to you SeΓ±or!

lol-Thanks. It's funny but in my area, with the small comic scene we've got, the old timers (from the 90's) are in love with a lot of black and heavy inks. To me it all depends on the artist and the subject matter itself. There have been times where I prefer the abyss of solid blacks and how they can make things pop. Other times as you said, I like that you can see the frenzy of my hand and where the pencil has been, I guess it's good this is going straight to color without inks.

Yeah I saw this tute on ImagineFX, where the guy blends his pencil roughs with tight inks and color to make a great "iron mannish" piece... it was very effective, and cohesive. Btw, I suppose I am one of those old timers, Gene Colan to me is the master of shadow, and while I love Barry Smith's and all those old Savage Sword Inkers, I think your approach is pretty unique, it's a really nice style.

Here's that tute if yer interested: [link]
