Edit #2: I added a bit more glow to the Girl's eyes. I'm not sure whether it makes it look better or worse, but I like the glowiness. XD)

LOOK, I'VE FINALLY FINISHED IT!!!
I thought I wasn't going to make it... OTL
It was supposed to be a simple drawing, as a experiment, I guess. But then my annoying preference of not leaving the back ground blank got to me. And it was painful.
Sorry for the carppy background, (Derp trees and grass, why you so difficult! (/O-O)/ ) I don't like to draw them, since I'm not really all that good at them, but I hope it's acceptable. Take it as an experiment too! XD
I need to start being able to put up with simpler backgrounds, otherwise I'm going to die of frustration. orz
I hope you like this though (I've put enough work into it! QAQ) and the little poem. (It was completely random though, I just thought it up while drawing it. The Chinese and Japanese titles really don't have a purpose either - I just wanted to practice a little. XD)
BTW, this is also a part of my 'Season's Turn' Project. Since I've put so much effort into it, might as well include it as one. I haven't drawn something for the Project for a while anyway, so I guess it was worth the pain. XD

I seem to be getting into the painterly type of colouring lately. XD And for the leaves, (which I used the same for both the ground and treetops) I used a custom brush I installed in SAI and sort of flicked the pen to make little patches, I guess. >U<
Would you like me to go and find the brushes pack I got the brush from? :3

Jen-Jen~! This is reallllyyy pretty!
The leaves are really well drawn, the overall setting is appealing, and the pose is quite adorable. Besides the leaves, my favourite part of the drawing is definitely the frills. It really brings out the dress and adds detail.
Now, I know it's incredibly difficult and annoying to draw, and I apologise for saying this, but beyond the trees... I dislike the backgound. 
Overall, it's really pretty and peaceful

Ahh, I'm so glad you like them! Because they were EXTREMELY time-consuming. OTL But it was fun drawing them, although shading was another matter. XD
Actually, the background is almost completely nonexistent beyond the trees, so your opinion is justified. It's just a few layers of different shades. It's okay to be hypocritical sometimes, especially when it comes to judging art. Next time though, if I ever attempt at another forest-ish background, I'll definitely add more detail. X3

Well, I didn't really mean to. It's just when I draw hair, somehow I always end up with some strands having to cover one of the eyes.

Strands of hair covering the eyes are pretty, but when her eyes are so sparkly and moe-moe you really want to see more of it

I have huge problems with drawing before exams - mostly because I don't know when to stop drawing and pay more attention to working! (Studying is fine since I enjoy learning, but assignments and tests are a pain. TnT) And I hate how time seems to fly away when you are working. ¬A¬

I like music too, but honestly I'm not that good at it. The closest or at least the thing I'd probably do best at, in regards to music, would probably be writing the lyrics.
So far I've learnt the melody for Ievan Polkka, the start of Kokoro, the start and end chorus for JBF, and I'm practicing Popipo and Hirai Hirai (which is dam difficult)~

Ooh, you write lovely lyrics! I'd like to see a sample, onee-chan! It would probably make things a lot easier if you learnt how to read sheet music first; it's pretty easy once you understand it. I can try to teach you... maybe, but I have horrible teaching skills. I think the internet is much better, yeah XD

I know a few tricks to remembering music sheet notes, like FACE and such, but since I rarely do anything that involves them, it's kinda hard to grasp it for long periods. OTL It would be awesome if you could give me some tips though! ;A; The internet is good, but it also gives you wayy too much irrelevant stuffs.

Uhh, what do those weird loops that connect some notes mean? Like, you have say there's a group of 1/4 notes joined together, and then this weird curved line leaps over to a bar or so forward. I'm not very good with music terminology either, sorry.

Oh, that would be a "slur"? It looks a bit like a smiley face with the eyes having sticks if there are two notes, right? Basically it just means that you have to play it 'legato'- that is, erm, it's smoothly 'joined' rather than being wonky and detached. If that makes sense? but if there's a curvy line joining two notes that are the same, it's called a "tie" and you just play the first note. The second note is tied with the other one to hold for a longer beat.
Well I finished a few more after that time XD Yeah, slowly getting through a few of them, running out of time to do my own personal project but x3
