My personal tribute to Kinder Surprise collective vintage retro figurine toys which these were available in certain european countires (Poland included) in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Those figurines included the ones you see in this pictures (each one per variant): lions, hippos, penguins, cats, elephants, crocodiles, turtles, whales, bears, sharks, giraffes, dinosaurs, frogs, martians, parrots, foxes, ghosts, vampires, rabbits, cavemen and moles.
All these came through specific sets, named around those species each.
It's a very european idea that might be another thing, that for a lot my american audience might leave alienated.
Originally, I was thinking of presenting these toys as they're walking in marching, jumping to each capsule in factory line,
but that might be too complex and confusing to stage, especially for my 'foreign market', so I went with this usual look and I'm satisfied enough with it.
Hopefully there are some people who look fondly at those things, as much I do.
