Vol 14 - The day at the beach had come to an end, and Carl and Adelaide knew it was time to go home. Duck the Great Western Engine was ready to take the passengers to wherever his route took him, but tonight was a rather light load, at least in the middle coach. Only two passengers were inside, two teenagers who had come to fully understand just how much the other meant to them hours ago at the beach as they watched the Sun set on their perfect day. But more than that, they now had the satisfying knowledge of the other person’s true feelings.

They didn’t need words to tell the other what they wanted. Instead, the two took a chance and plunged into the unknown with the most certain way of spelling out their desires and hopes for each other.

A kiss.

All it took was one, and they made it last for as long they could just before Duck left the station. Then, he whisked them both off into the night, towards their homes and towards a future together.
