I have a few general questions...
- Are they semetrical or does the winner decide?
- Are their fur markings(like the neck and underside) meant to be "exact" or just "spikey"?

They're symmetrical.
Ummm... I mean they're just fur markings. The only place I'd say they should look somewhat exact around the underbelly area. The neck is more forgiving. I'm okay with no matter how they're drawn or whatever concerning the fur markings o v o
