Were you expecting Jaune to use Sword and Shield?Well, he's still a Sword and Shield Hunter. But in this case, he's trying out the new Charge Blade, which will be his secondary weapon behind the Sword and Shield.

Charge Blade and Switch Axe are my favorite weapons in Monster Hunter. I just love the heavy-hitting feel of each weapon and switch between them for when I feel like being more defensive or offensive respectively.

You know, I was thinking in doing a fanfic of RWBY where Jaune, instead of arrive to Beacon with Crocea Mors arrive with a charge blade, the legacy of one of his great-grandfathers.
The reason: its more cool-looking even when he don't have any idea how to use it. Also its much more heavier that Crocea so that means he is slower that normal.
A weapon more complex and heavy will change the first meeting of Jaune with everyone in his first day in Beacon.
Ps. The charge blade in mind is Schwarzschild. Because I will find ironic that a white knight like Jaune use a black shield(Schwarzschild translated from german).
