Redwall was a classic. I will read it to my children when I have them. But the later books just aren't as good.

It pretty much IS my childhood . I read tons of the books (I think I've read all of them now, but not the newest one that came out in May), and the animated series, they were my favorite . Yeeep, when other kids were going on about Harry Potter and Pokemon, I was swinging around sharp pointy objects in the woods.

Me too. My Dad made me and my sisters wooden swords. Ah, happy days. You have to read the Rogue Crew! It's absolutely fantastic. I saved it for as long as I could - it being the last one and all - but when I did it was worth the wait.

**looks at date**
You probably have read it. But if you haven't, do.

KrazyPerson In reply to LadyRiverwolf [2012-07-13 20:52:46 +0000 UTC]

I made my own swords

Oh, I haven't yet, I really should get around to that. A shame that it won't be put on an autobook, well it probably will, but won't be the same without him as the narrator.

LadyRiverwolf In reply to KrazyPerson [2012-07-13 21:07:38 +0000 UTC]

It's an amazing book. I haven't heard any of the audiobooks, but as a rule they're often better read by the authors... they understand their own characters, you know?
The bows and arrows I made myself... without much success. Ah, well. They were good enough for me.

XD i was working on compiling a library, because i had this locked door in my room, which i finally unlocked, and in the room were these shelves, i had two of them filled up but now we are moving so i didn't know if the new place had space for the library. So thats the story of how i lost the good series

BionicleLover In reply to Durza11 [2014-02-11 04:34:16 +0000 UTC]

I actually met him, once, at a book reading at a nearby Barnes and Noble. it was cool. and here recently, my sister got to meet John Flannagan, author of the Ranger's Apprentice series. she went in this awesome ranger costume that caught his eye, and he pointed her out to the rest of the crowd. he loved the costume.

BionicleLover In reply to BionicleLover [2014-02-11 04:35:33 +0000 UTC]

he actually thought it was funny, because coincidentally, this was for the 12th book, in which there is a female ranger, and he found it ironic for that reason.
