This is cool, but I feel that the bright white light is creating a focus area out of the lamp where I am uncertain that the artist intended. Other than that looks good.

I see your point. Easy enough to tone it back. I'll look at it with fresh eyes and try it out in the morning.
It's funny how when something is right in front of you for a few hours, you don't necessarily see it.

I totally agree that sometimes you need to take a break from it and come back with fresh eyes. I often dump big chunks of time at a drawing, like 12 hours straight and no matter what I do I can't get it just right until i stop working on it and come back later.

Ok Mr. VassDeviant...I toned back the light flair a bit and slightly lightened the background as well. Hopefully it puts a little more emphasis on the flow of the composition and decreases the eye focus problem. Then again...it could be a total fail on my part to make it any better.
