She is implying in X-Factor that she's jumped around through time.
I like Scott and Emma as a couple. Ruby has a great mixture of both of them.
I wish the comic would explain what happened to Emma in that time line. Seeing how old Cyclops is I doubt she's still alive.

yeah, i doubt she made it too. i think they are a power couple. they match each other and she fills a piece of him that he just doesn't have. I miss Jean tho. They were an epic love, the kind everyone looks for. but dude, she needs to stop dying for a change. lol.

I see Jean and Scott as that high school lovers that get married right after school and divorce in six month. Even while married she couldn't choose between Scott and Logan.
Great thing about Emma is that she only wants Scott.
Seeing how that one time Jean came back and the Phoenix she was trying to get at Cyclops' optic blast for it's power. It makes me wonder how much of Jean's desire for Scott was just the Phoenix Force's desire for the power in his blast.
I'm ticked about this writer Fraction causing trouble in the relationship. Doesn't mean it will end, but it;s still irritating me.

you know, you're right. Jean never knew which boy to pick and emma is true blue to Scott. I did read that comic series where the phoenix brought jean back from the dead to feast on scott's blast. that was one great series. I want to make figures of Emma as the phoenix from that book. i loooooove reading that book again and again and again. i got the big composit one for like, 15$

It was always sad that even after all the years of marriage Jean never really committed to Scott. She was married and still flirted with Logan. Hell, she kissed him just because she 'thought' Scott slept with Emma.
I do find it kind of odd that "X-Factor" has yet to name Emma as Ruby's mother. At least as far as I have followed.
Still, what are the odds that Scott has a child with another woman, and that girl would have his optic blast and the mutant ability to form her body into a gem form? Not to mention, from what I've read, Ruby's personality is quite Emma-ish.
Just makes me wonder, why they don't just admit who her mother was?
The X-Men books I've really enjoyed recently are "Supernovas", "Blinded by the Light", and "Messiah Complex". These are the books that chronicle the time when Mystique joined the X-Men, had the affair with Iceman, and through the story of the Mutant Messiah, Hope.

yeah, scott wouldn't be able to fall in love with another woman. he's just a one woman guy, of course after jean and then to emma. he's like, a 100% golden retriever. and i don't think they've mentioned emma yet as the mother but i read it online and she is a lot like emma. plus, how did scott get to be that old in the comic?! lol. and Jean was never 100% for him. she was too easily tempted by logan.
and i've been investing in a lot of those books lately. I'm actually going to try and make more Hope figures. I made one of her as a little scared child. i can't wait to make more!

Well, Scott is that old because the current events of 'X-Factor' is set many decades into the future. Ruby has even said that she has been in her Ruby form for over seventy years. The only thing keeping Cyclops alive is his cybernetics. I believe Ruby mentions that he only needs power cells to live.
Ruby's story also involves a lot of time travel. I have read an interview with the current 'X-Factor' writer. He was asked about Ruby appearing in the standard time line to meet Scott and Emma.
I actually plan to make a picture of Iceman and Mystique. Something pretty sexy.

wow. i completely missed that part! i knew it was the future, blah blah blah, but i missed the whole "70 years" thing! ah! that makes a looooot of sense.

It was in "X-Factor: Layla Miller" special, where Ruby first appeared. It's the whole reason Ruby is afraid to lower her ruby form. She's worried if she was to drop it she would age all those lost years in seconds.

She doesn't know it will happen. It's just a fear of hers. I think it just makes for some good drama. I doubt anything would happen. Just like how Logan and Mystique's powers allow them to cheat time.

well that fear totally makes sense. it would suck tho to out live everyone. but then again, if she took off her power, she could very well turn to dust...yeah...
