I was thinking about making a new version of Big for a while since version 3 was getting too cumbersome to work with.The new one (left) is obviously smaller but still towers over Sonic and Co., Eggman, and everyone who isn't a 3 ton robot and bigger. (71 x 64)
This sprite has a lot of colors put into it (35).
I started with a with a darker version of his lighter shade of violet because well he looks better and this kind of makes him look different and more like a boss (which I will probably animate him to be). The belt buckle has been moved because of better symmetry. I wouldn't have to do as much with adjusting everything for the belt if he's facing the other way.
The big ones are magnified 4 times.

I will re-render him first and there are some things that I must do as well in order to address some of the concerns people have. Then, I can make more sprites. I think that he'll look awesome.

I can't see the other chars next to it to measure scale, but I like the proportions of the right one and the shading / render of the left one... the left one makes Big look too small thru head/body ratio

I'm glad that you pointed the body proportions out, cause I was on the fence with his head when I finished rendering. I will more than likely shrink the head before I think about doing much else with him.

They both look good, but i think the left one is slightly better, still its new so it makes sense.
