Description Mediaeval fortified village of Monemvasia. One of my most beloved places in my homeland.
I loved that tavern door framing the sea beyond it... (I don't personally recomment their cuisine, though)

Μα, έλα! Πρέπει να δεις την Μονεμβάσια τουλάχιστον μια φορά! Τί κάνεις μακριά από τα πάτρια εδάφη;

I like it when something in the picture makes a frame for something else inside the picture itself.

That is definately what I would like on my website if I owned that place! (Have you offered to sell it to them??) that's so damn beautiful. Why did you use a polarizing filter?

You think so? Well, thank you!

I like using a polarizing filter because it increases the colour saturation of vividly coloured subjects, making the photo vibrant (especially in combination with positive film).

So how is that different to just whacking up the saturation in PS? And what's positive film?

I prefer using traditional methods to PS, unless I have no other option. The less I have to tweak a photo, the happier I am.
Hmm... positive films are also known as "slides". They are more expensive and they "conceal" no mistakes in exposure, but the images come out with less grain, more sharpness and far brighter (more saturated) colours.
