As For The Knight On The Left I Think That Might Be Odin. Spoilers The Two Huge Guys Behind Nyx And Glauca Are Statues Brought To Life But The One On The Left Like I Said Might Be Odin Cause Of The Horns And The Sword. Also Glauca Is Actually Someone Nyx Knows And Trusted. Oh Nyx Also Fights Ultros In Kingsglaive I Amm Serious In The Newest Trailer It Shows Ultros Himself Attacking Nyx So There Is Another Final Fantasy Reference In The Movie.

When I watched the movie I noticed something that nobody has seemed to mention. The statues (and the ancestor kings) look like the Knights of the Round summon knights.

Cause They Are. If You Watch The Gamescom Gameplay Cor Leonis Says That There Are Thirteen Royal Arms The Same Weapons The Old Wall AKA Lucii Kings Of Old Wielded In Life And In The Movie And That Noctis Is The Descendant Of These Thirteen Kings Except That Kunoichi Looking Statue In The Movie That Means That There Are Twelve Kings And One Queen Also Means One Of Noctis's Ancestor Was A Bad Ass Female Ninja. Anyways Yes The Old Wall Aka Ancient Kings Are Indeed The Knights Of The Round

What I really find interesting is how essential they seem to the plot. Only the worthy is deemed capable of using the Old Wall's power (another reference to Arthurian Legend), and being the Lucii, they serve almost the same purpose as Odin in games like Final Fantasy IV. In Final Fantasy 7 though, the Knights of the Round are entirely optional with only two ways (I can think of) for obtaining it. There's the island holding the materia, and I think you technically obtain it if you defeat Emerald and obtain the Master Summon that way (although how one might go about the fight without KotR first would be quite a feat). They were exclusive to VII, but not essential to the plot.
With the Diamond Weapon, I noticed that it was only summoned once the sun set, which is interesting. The Chancellor even refers it as the "Terrors of the Night." In FF7, none of the Weapons seem particularly Nocturnal. You fight the Diamond Weapon in the Daylight, but Midgar is always seen at night. It may be the the battle map though, because even Advent Children show the Midgar scenes of that cinematic at night. And the Diamond Weapon did emerge from the sea like a Kaiju from Pacific Rim.

You Can Get Knights Of The Round By Fighting Emerald But I Heard There Was A Third Way Where You Can Bypass Both Options But This I think Is False. Yeah I Saw That In Movie That The Diamond Weapon Only Came During Night Though I think They Brought It Out As A Trump Card But Yeah I Agree. No KOTR Wasn't Essential To The Plot Of FFVII But It Made It Much Easier Fighting The Hard Bosses Like Sephiroth End Of Game And Ruby Weapon Who By The Way Is A Pain In The Ass! My Brother Tried To Beat It And He Was At The Level Required To Beat It And Still Died.

I Don't Know How They Will Do The Weapons In Remake Though I Know They Will Make Diamond Look Like It's Kingsglaive Design. I Don't Know If The Kings Of Lucis Will Be A Summon In FFXV Though In The Official Confirmation Of Bahamut They Did Say That There Will Be Other Summons In FFXV So I Wouldn't Be Surprised If KOTR Made An Appearance In Game I Mean Why Show Them On The Game Box Cover? If Not Appearing

Either way, it's a pain in the butt to get KotR. It's also a pain just to master it. I put it on Cloud's Apocalypse (triple growth for Materia), and just farmed movers and Magic Pots (And if you don't have W-Item, or any elixers to duplicate, you can steal some elixers without leaving the area). It still took forever just to master one KotR because all the AP it needs. I hate fighting both Ruby and Emerald Weapons, but this time, I'm going to master a ton of materia, form sources from the Gelnika, and max everyone's level (and maybe try out the overflow glitch with Vincent's Death Penalty).

I agree. I also noticed that near the end of the movie, one of the goals was to get the ring to Noctis. His father never really used the Old Wall, but the ring also bestowed the power of magic to the King, and to the Kingsglaive. It also seems that Noctis has magic in Episode Duscae (which is interesting because it's after the movie when the entire Kingsglaive lost their magic when they lost the King).

Rune33 In reply to Taqresu650 [2016-10-15 18:21:22 +0000 UTC]

The Reason Behind That Is cause Noctis Is Born With Magic And The Reason Why The Glaive Couldn't Was because Noctis Was Too Far Away, From What I read They Can Only Use Magic If They Are Near The King Or The King Is Alive. Regis Didn't Use The Old Wall Because He Was Too Weak By That Time And It Would've Likely Degrade His Health More Than he Was At That Time. Episode Duscae Is Partly canon And After Movie Their Car Doesn't Break Down Twice It Only Breaks Down Once.

Of Course Being A Final Fantasy There Is Always Some Unexplained Reason To Why This Character Can Do This While The Others Can't Unless Certain Conditions Are Met. I Know The KOTR Are Hard To Master Cause They Are Already Powerful Enough In FFVII. I Think Even Though They Never Appear In Any Other Game That The Heroes Of Each Game May Be Like A version Of The Knights Of The Round One Cause They All Often Wield The Same Weapons As The KOTR For Example Excalibur And The Hero That Often Wields That Is The Leader Even If It's Not Their Final Weapon, Or That They Are Another Example A Knight, A Mage, A Dragoon, Ect..Like Knights Of The Round.

Another Interesting Connection I mentioned Once Was In Dissidia Games. Warrior Of Light Is The Leader Of The Warriors Of Cosmos And Not Only That He Wields What Appears To Be Excalibur Or At Least Something Similar To It And There Was Once Thirteen Warriors During The 12 cycle, I Don't Know But I Had A Theory Of Such

This all makes sense, although I never got to complete Episode Duscae, I still need to fight the Behemoth. It would be interesting if the protagonists of the games serve as one of the Knights of the Round. Although I'm kind of curious at how Cecil fits into this. At first a Dark Knight then a Paladin, which isn't very different from The Warrior of Light (And can't you get the Excalibur in FF4 for Cecil?). I'm also going to add that I named my Warriors of Light for Final Fantasy Origins Cecil, Locke, Aerith, and Vivi, but that was as a fan lol

See I See Every Character Being Connected To KOTR In Their Worlds Cause The Summons Appear In Each FF Worlds And Are Different Versions Of The Ones We See Each Time. Maybe Cecil Was The Name Of One Of The Lucii King Of Old And A Knight Of The Round As You Say, Cause There Are Various Reference To Other FF Games In FFXV. Now This Is All Theories It's Not True Yet Not False. FFII And FFIV Are Connected In Fact They Take Place In The Same World But Alternate Versions Of It Cause In FFII There Is A Place Called Mysidia Which Appears In FFIV.Β

Well first, I'd like to say, that I just bought FFII via Final Fantasy Origins, so I will take note of the differences and similarities between II and the DS remake for IV. Really, if I wanted to make a theory of all the Final Fantasies existing together, I think I'd look into the Lifestream, the Void, and the Chaos/Cosmos conflicts that always bring the cast of the games together. You likely already know, but I remember that the Lifestream, and the lives of the planets work just the same cyclical way as the lives on the planet. My (not really research backed) theory would be that all, or almost all the worlds are connected through a kind of Lifestream, seeing that there are often crystals which are similar to materia. There's also a possibility of fitting the film The Spirits Within, since the "Gaias" of both worlds work very much like the lifestream. The Lunarians from IV might make an interesting fit though.

watch final fantasy peasant he does theories for mainly final fantasy xv but he does others too. he speaks about connections to other ff worlds chaos and such and nearly every one came true. spirit within is not part of the main ff series in fact it isn't even a final fantasy that is why it flopped cause it had nothing to do with ff despite having the name. now your theory might not be too far fetched cause it was discovered that ffx and ffvii are connected storywise in ffx a character named shinra created a spaceship and traveled to a new planet which happened to be the ffvii world and soon we have the shinra company and such.Β

if cid highwind went in space and explored planets he would find spira in fact i bet he would find the other ff worlds. now alot of people came to believe the new world in lightning returns is earth no it is not it just looks like earth same for eos in ffxv. if you been a ff fan as long as me this literally comes to you naturally...god i feel old

I'll need to find Final Fantasy Peasant, is that a youtube account he uses for his theories? In Spirit's Within's defense, there is a Sid lol I only included that in my theory because of its concepts of Gaia. It's appearance and functions are almost identical to the Lifestream. And the alien presence has some of the same qualities of Omega and Meteor. Their planet was destroyed, yet their "Gaia" remained alive, taking the spirits of all its inhabitants with it. It found it's way to Earth and tried to inhabit the planet only to find there was already a kind of Gaia present. It's true that is shares very little with the series, I just noticed that its cycle of life in the movie shares similarities with the Lifestream. I heard about that theory between X and VII, and I also heard a counter argument saying that space travel was brand new to VII and for Shinra to be involved, he would have to have arrived on VII's world long before the Shinra company decided to even try space travel. The technology of VII also seems to be less advanced than the machina of X (although Shinra does talk about the concept of extracting Mako). Funny though, I ended up starting X-2 before ever even buying X (only starting, to this day I haven't finished, and I won't until I beat X).

I want to finish 13 before I play any of its sequels, so I really don't know anything about XIII-2 or Lightning Returns. By the way, I've been a fan since the early 2000s, and I only just now got 1-X-2, 12 & the 13 Trilogy, and the demo & movie for 15. Of the main series games (if you're including the true sequels and prequels of 7 and the like), I have all the main series games except for 4 The After Years, Before Crisis Final Fantasy 7, and the two MMOs; 11 and 14.

Yes It Is His Youtube Account. Trust Me The Shinra In X Is The Same Shinra Who Pretty Much Creates The Shinra Company In VII Even Square Enix Has Confirmed That. True Spirit Within Does Have Some Elements From Final Fantasy But trust Me On This That Even Square Enix Will Tell You It's Not A Final Fantasy Hence why they Did Advent Children In Hopes Of Making Up For That. I've Been A Fan Since I Was Seven Years Old And That Is Saying Something.

I Am Literally almost As Old As The Series Itself It Will Be Thirty Years Old 2017 And I Will Be Twenty Eight That Same Year. Same Goes For Some Other Game Series I Am Even A Year Younger than Legend Of Zelda: Adventure Of Link Game Which Once Again Is Saying Something. Of Course I Have Specific FF Games I Like Mainly VII, XIII And It's Sequels, Upcoming FFXV, XII, Tactics, VIII, VI, The Original FF Of Course, Alittle Of FFXIV And Dissidia.

I'll have to check out that Youtube account. Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out when in 7's history the connection starts. I can see the Ancients (Cetra) being the original inhabitants of 7's world when Shinra's descendants started anew when finding the planet. I don't know that would be before or after Jenova's landing (likely after I think). They probably forgot about their origin over the centuries, but still kept their goal and remember Shinra by name (perhaps even a longing to the stars that resulted in Shinra's Space Program). I was only ever saying that the only way I can fit The Spirit's Within is with the lifestream. I recognize that it's not a Final Fantasy. I think any future movies for the series will take note of Advent Children and Kingsglaive, and be a sequel/prequel for one of the existing games.

30 is still a young age though. I'm not as old as you, or most of the series, but I can say I'm about as old as Rayman, Chrono Trigger, Beyond the Beyond and a few other games. I'm a couple years older than Final Fantasy 7 though. I actually own a few games that are around my age (likely because my parents were in their twenties when I was born lol). With a college schedule though, I won't have as many hours to play the series as I would like.

I Am Only Two Years Younger Than Final Fantasy Well Gonna Be 28 Years Old In April So That's A Given. I Remember Beyond The Beyond Played It Once On Sega Genesis When We Had Sega Genesis With The Sega Channel Played Chrono Trigger As Well I Often Got Stuck When I Went To The Future The First Time Having To Fight The First Boss You Encounter There.

I Use To Own Some Games Final Fantasy VII Was One Of Them I Have Dirge Of Cerberus Which Is A Fun Game Despite Being A Shooter But I Don't Care I Grew Up Around Shooters, Action/Adventure Games I even Played Some Sports And Racing Games But Something About Adventure Games Like Final Fantasy Has Always Been My Favorite.

So The Wait For Final Fantasy XV Is Going To Be Quite Worth It So Will The VII Remake.

Nice, I was almost born on April (just a few hours away from being born on April Fool's day lol). Yeah, I have Beyond the Beyond and Chrono Trigger, but I never had much time to play them, although I would really like to. I had a Sega Genesis, but I think my copies for Chrono Trigger and Beyond the Beyond were on Playstation. One of my favorite games for the Genesis was Toejam & Earl.

I enjoyed Dirge of Cerberus too, although not everybody does. I love shooters ever since by brother and I got into the Halo series. I didn't get Dirge until after Halo 3 or so, I was used to the gameplay then. But like you Adventure games are my favorite. I love having an open map to explore (or 3 in the case of games like FF4).

Well for XV at least I have an xbox one, but I don't have a PS4. And I don't have the money right now to even pre-order XV, let alone buy a PS4 (for Final Fantasy VII's Remake and Sword Art Online). Speaking of which I think it would be very ironic and fitting if they made an SAO game for a VR system.

April 16th is my birthday 12:35am i was born so i just missed the 15th. Toejam And Earl Huh Wow Been So Long Since I've Played That. Well A SAO Game For VR System Wouldn't Be Farfetched. Yeah I Use To Have A Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, A Sega Dreamcast, A Playstation 1 And 2, A Gamecube Which I Still Do, A Xbox, A Nintendo 64 And Wii Well Most Of Them Were My Older Brother's But Still. Β I Love Shooters Too And I Played Halo Long Ago Though My Brother Often More Times Than Not Killed Me When Fighting Each Other. I Actually Beat The Game With Only Three Seconds Left To Spare Before The Ship Blew Up That Is What I Call Skill And I Do Not Know How Many Times I Beat Dirge Of Cerberus

If You Like Adventure Games Play Devil May Cry It's Awesome It Was Originally Going To Be A Resident Evil Game But It Went Off That Plan And Devil May Cry Was Born Trust Me It's Awesome And Resident Evil Is Another Game series You May Like It Has Shooting And Horror Nothing Is Better Than Blowing Zombies head Off.

lol that was a close birthday, but being born on the 15th doesn't have the same impact that being born on April Fool's day would lol
Yeah, my parents loved playing Toejam and Earl when they were younger, and when got into playing it (my siblings and I) we just loved it. The over-the-top, slapstick humor made us laugh every time. Like when you were opening presents on level 1 to get to level 0. You were unlucky if you spawned a shark and get an inflatable duck. Or when the elevator doors open in perfect timing to Earl losing his shorts. The Genesis was the only Sega system we ever had. We never had a Gamecube or any of the Gameboys, but we still have quite the collection of systems ourselves. We have an NES, Super Nintendo, 2 N64's (one watermelon, the other green), an old, and not very well known Turbografix 16, Sega Genesis, PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox360, XboxOne, a Wii, DS lites, DSi, some 3DS systems, and I own a 2DS and a PSP.
Our playing experience with our brothers are very similar. I was always on the losing end, ever since the first Halo. It's a friendly competition, but he almost always wins. It doesn't matter if it's Halo, CoD, Destiny, Borderlands or any 1st person shooter (or any other video game for that matter). That is pretty skilled, but I haven't played the first 2 Halos since before I even got a 360. By the way, there's a mission in Halo 2 where you can explore an endless expanse of water. My brother and I drove into Β the ocean with our warthog, but ended up losing it and ourselves. The water is so murky and foggy that we couldn't even see 3 feet in front of us unless it had a light (like the Warthog when it's turned on). There were no enemies there, and nothing happens in the story if you're down there. I think we ended up restarting the whole level lol There was also a part during the bridge level (with the huge walker) where we jumped on an Covenant ship and stayed on all the way to its despawn point. We ended up in the background setting with the "cardboard" city of the level.

I may just try that game when I get the chance. But I also have about a dozen Final Fantasy's to complete lol I've also played a few Resident Evil titles though. And being a Call of Duty fan, I don't even need to be told how fun it is to blow off the heads of zombies lol

You Can Do That In The First Halo Me And My Brother Did It Once During The Silent Catographer Mission Just For The Hell Of It, We Use To Also Kill Each Other Sometimes If We Run Out Of Ammo. If We Do One Of Us Kills The Other And Take Their Ammo Though Sometimes We Did It Just Be Asses Lol

Oh Cool I Have Played A Couple Resident Evil Games Myself Mainly The Remake Of The First One, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 2 And 3. Four Is Fun Though Except When You Find The President's Daughter And Protect Her...Ugh! She Is So Annoying She Can't Do Anything I Mean She Can't Even Climb Down A Fricking Ladder I Am Serious I Think Kamiya And Mikami Did That On Purpose To Torment Us, No You Have To Command Her To Jump To Catch Her When There Is A Ladder Right There And She Always Yells Leon's Name.

She Is So Useless That Sometimes I Want To Blow Her Head Off In The Game, Sherry Birkin At Least Did Something In Resident Evil 2 But Ashley In Resident Evil Is Totally And Absolutely Useless that There Is No Point On Even Saving Her..Sorry Just Ranting. Yes Blowing Zombie Heads Off Is Fun Even In Call Of duty Which I Have Played Once A Couple Times Or Watching The Flood In Halo Go Boom When You Blast Them With A Shotgun Or Rocket Launcher Ah Good Times Good Times

lol My brother and I tend to mess with each other too. And I can tell they fixed the Underwater thing with all the Halos since then.

I've only played one Resident Evil game and that's Resident Evil 5. It was the first game I ever got for the 360 because it came with the limited edition red xbox360. I heard about Ashley from Resident Evil 4 though lol

When I'm playing Halo, my favorite weapons are always the big guns. If I have a Rocket Launcher or a Scorpion I have the funnest times. Blowing stuff up is my favorite thing to do lol
