Description
"A charming prince will come",
is what they always used to say,
but I have given up hope,
of there ever being such a day.

It is not that I do not want,
but simply that I do not care,
for who really needs a partner
in a life unlike a square.

I am not one to sit aside,
while someone else does all the work,
and reaps all the experience.
Call it a personal little quirk.

To spend my life in a kitchen,
really is not my goal or dream,
thought I love to cook often,
if I had to do it always I would scream.

To fly carefree is my style,
going here and doing that or this,
not concerned with thoughts of others,
nor backing down from any diss.

As for a manacle upon my finger,
it is something I would not mind,
so as long as my significant other,
would not care if I declined.

To spend a life with someone else,
would be okay, I suppose,
but they would have to learn,
that thorns do come with a rose.

And like a rose with thorns,
I do not always dwell in place,
but often disappear from sight,
so you need to keep up with my pace.
