The beast was dead and those who made it out alive could go home.

The Whisper family was lucky to have not lost a single soul. Lux had burst into tears once she finally saw her husband and children again.

As soon as Chemex heard that the beast had fallen, he rushed out of the house to find his mate. He was ecstatic when he finally found her helping out in the Nook.

Boog and Corby finally had the chance to rest in the comfort of their own home. Both felt too exhausted to go upstairs and fell asleep in the living room.

While everything seemed alright for the family, Callum discovered the first of their worries.

The coops outside were open, they both had scratch marks around the door. The puckoo were nowhere to be seen, except for two bloody, torn up carcasses. They seemed to be of the two males they owned. Maybe some spites were trying to scare the puckoo and they fought back? Callum didn't know, all he knew was that the rest seemed too have ran off. There were tiny foot prints leading into the woods.

Next he checked the spoodles. Thankfully they were still in their pen, snuggled up inside the little bit of shelter they had. When he moved onto to check the crops, he didn't even have to walk over to see the damage. Most of it had been trampled and ruined.

This was going to be a hard winter, not just for the Creek family, but for the entire town. Many farms had been damaged in a similar way. On top of that, many farmers were injured and the magic was unpredictable.

The beast may be dead, but the fight was far from over.
