Description NOTE: I love each and every comment you make, if I don't reply...i'm just very afraid at times. :c or Don't know how to reply back! <3

Everything is explained in the picture. This is how I feel at times, and I wonder if anyone else with the condition can relate to this. Not everything said on here is true (as in it has happens to others) but, it this is how i feel.

The skin colour didn't work out as I had hoped, but the feeling is still there within this illustration.

This isn't exactly a vent, well it sort of is, but i don't know. I just felt like making it lol.

- Here is a graphic novel I made related to Aspergers, which happened to get me a Distinction grade. Hope you all like this and support it! Perhaps it could be made into a book for all those who suffer from it can use it to help them?

Thankyou for your kind words and critque, it means a-lot to show that my message came across through this piece for those who also suffer from aspergers!! (>'.')>. I felt like having it written would be more personal as you can show the frustration with the quick roughly written words. Frustration and anger and depression shows well. : )!

You should also check out my book that I made about aspergers too for college - [link] , this might be more effective aswell.

Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

The artist brings out the emotion in this artwork by choosing a certain color: red. Then expresses how life it is like for him/her and for other people with Aspergers. Surrounding the black and red words around the tearful character brings emotions to the viewer (more so when the artist decided red to be the color of the character's hair) and what the words say brings out the sympathy of the viewer and connects the piece of art to the experiences and feelings of the viewer's life.

Overall, the artwork is a wonderful piece with vision and personal emotion. It is sure to leave an impact inside and outside the Autistic Community.

The worst part about Asperger's isn't anything within you. Like most things surprisingly, it's about misunderstandings. People tend to take EVERYTHING personally. Some examples from my life include:

- My teachers sending worrying letters about anger management to my parents just because I was super stressed with work at the time and was annoyed with more work
- My Mother exploding into a hysteria whenever I don't smile; she interprets that as me wanting to punch everyone in the face
- My classmates avoiding me because they confuse a few passive aggresive reactions with attempted murder
- Me sighing from lots of work and stress and my Dad interpreting that as the equivalent of me stabbing teddy bears with a knifeΒ  and gritting my teeth in anger

I was raised my whole life being convinced that the problem is with me. And to be fair it was, I was inexperienced in human interactions, but the way people described it, the way they complained and cried about it, made me think for a few years that I really am a terrible person, who truly enjoys hurting people emotionally, and doesn't care about anyone but myself. Amazing how we accidently end up creating exactly what we fear to encounter. Now whenever we're going to meet lots of people, this image is pretty much it for me. I'm being given verbal checklists on all the things I shouldn't do and all the things to remember doing so that 'I'm on my best behaviour'. I've learned to get used to being lonely, and my best friends might only be people who aren't overly sensetive to how much people smile around them, or how often they don't sigh in annoyance.

DON'T follow my solution. Everyone has their own way to cope.

Is having Aspergers really a gift for us? Or a curse?

I like this very much. I have Aspergers. We don't necessarily suffer from Aspergers; the pain comes from the people who don't understand us. And disregardΒ our feelings and effortsΒ to connectΒ with them. The text captures a lot of what people with Aspergers feel. Nice Job!
