Description
Being a fan of the Ginga series, and seeing how much I just love canines... I couldn't resist in joining a Rp Forum for it and this is the character I created, behold Ginshin! He's a German Shepherd/ Doberman Mix. I actually had one of these dogs a good while back, I love mixed breeds and I had to create one as a character. I just loves my little boy. :3 He will be scanned, and if you all have time, feel free to read his bio and stuffs below... though there sure is a lot xD

Description: Typical of a doberman, Ginshin has the characteristic markings across his sleek frame, despite his physical body appearing more like a shepherd. His base pelt is a midnight black that is in a cape across his back, forelegs, and rear legs that drift off into slender points around the base of his elbows. His second coloration (the part that is normally an orangish tan in a doberman) is a very very light cream like color, seeming to contrast against his dark body. The further the cream color goes to his paws, it gradually fades into a white coloration. He has a white blaze that runs up from the tip of his nose to about where his eyes begin on the bridge of his nose. It fades back into the black, before then following up with a single white dot on the center of his forehead. Bright green blue eyes stand out from his features, the black fur surrounding them almost seeming to cause them to glow. Finally, he is adorned with a very bushy tail, which has a shepherd marking, black on the top and cream on the bottom which eventually fades into a white coloration as it reaches the tip of his tail.

Other Information: Ginshin is often plagued with nightmares, though, since in nature fear and emotions is a sign of weakness, he usually tries to do his best to avoid drawing attention to himself.

- Personality -

Summary: Ginshin is a solitary creature, not often to be one to actually consider settling down with a mate or pack of any sort, seeing as his paws have already gotten much wear on them, he figures why should he stop now? He can have a very cold attitude and seems heartless at times, but when needed, he will step up to the plate and risk his life to protect someone he believes has the right decisions or considers close. However, this works the other way too... if the person is against everything he believes, he won't waste words, and doesn't hesitate in trying to 'knock' some sense into them.. rather violently. He never will hesitate to step to violence if he thinks it's needed.

Physical: Ginshin is a very fight based dog, and has spent his lifetime so far building up that status. He was raised as an assassin, and is very graceful on his paws. Because of having the breed of Doberman in him, causing his build to be rather slender, this increases his speed and gives him a longer stamina. He always enjoys pushing himself to the limits, and seeing just how far he can take his body, though it does take it's cost on him.

Mental: Ginshin was raised to think as a predator, and is often thinking in that state of mind, even if he's not exactly hunting. He takes notice of the smallest of details of a potential opponent and makes sure that if it should ever come to a battle, that he would be prepared for any situation. He's very aware of his surroundings, and few times would he enter into an area without making sure that it was secure. His power of observation comes in handy, seeing as how in some ways, it lets him 'see' into someone's mind and learn a little more about them in his own way. Though thing's aren't always perfect with Ginshin, seeing as how the nightmares of his past often haunt him, sometimes causing him to get little sleep at night and let his mind and body tire. He has a hard time trusting, seeing as everything has seemed to turn against him, he can't help but always be leery of the person standing in front of him... In fact, it's often how he starts fights, seeing as he's not typically the most polite.

Social: Ginshin can be described as cold, heartless, a murderer, and a beast. However, he lets such comments slide off his back as a duck's feathers would water. Because of his usually cold and seemingly uncaring nature to some, he isn't the most popular in the bunch and more often then not in the end he always ends up on his own. He prefers it as such though, seeing as in some ways, attachments to others will just slow him down... Though he truly does long for the life he wishes he could have, but doubts it would ever come true.

Strengths: Terrain is one of the most common things that Ginshin looks for in a given situation, the more obstacles and barriers the better. Because of his agility, he will swift in an out of trees, rocks, ect... and make himself a harder target to catch and see. He also tends to use the environment around him to his advantage, often using stones, sticks, or other things that he could potentially use as a weapon to aid him in battle.

Weaknesses: Ginshin's main weaknesses are generally flat land, seeing as he has a harder time hiding himself and is uncomfortable in open areas, as well as water. He has a hard time swimming, seeing as when he was a pup he had an incident in which he nearly drown and has a fear of the water, just the mere sight of it will give him chills. In addition to that, if he is caught and if something happens to his legs, he is vulnerable and exposed.

- Other Information -

History: Ginshin was born in early August, and was the runt out of four fellow pups. His mother was a Shepherd that was the property of a human, a pet. But she was being used in a breeding program for security canines, and his siblings were promised off to the highest payers and when they were of age, to be shipped off and trained to be guards. Ginshin however... wasn't so lucky. Seeing as how he was the runt, he wasn't exactly considered top quality, and was the last out of the batch to finally be picked... He was sold to a low priced bidder, and once his mother had finished nursing him, he was quickly taken up and shipped off.

At merely six weeks of age, he found himself in the hands of an old, retired solder. His left eye was scarred, and he had a gruff, Smokey personality about him. At first, the man seemed somewhat disgusted by his purchase, and at times seemed as if he was considering sending the little pup back to where it had come from. However, not wanting to return, and wanting to be part of the world, Ginshin did his best to win the old man over... And it worked. The old solder's heart warmed at the sight of puppy-dog eyes and a soft whimper when ever his hand left the pup's brow.

The two bonded, the dog practically becoming a brother to this elderly, lonely, and scarred man. Ginshin was his closest companion, and would always remain that way. The old man shared stories with him, often telling the growing pup about what life was like throughout war, and what carnage and sights he had seen. Ginshin was fascinated. Deciding that there wasn't much else he could do with his time then, other then telling his faithful companion more stories, the old solder decided to teach Ginshin all he knew on the means of war and battle. Though it was rather difficult at first... as the pup began to grow, he began to learn faster and faster.

When he reached eight months, Ginshin was the largest he had ever thought himself to be... Since he was the runt, he believed himself to remain small forever, but now... he truly believed that he was destined to become a guard to this man's life. He had become a skilled and trained canine, following his masters every command. He was a solder.

One day however, when his master was taking a rest, two men broke into the house. They were armed. Ginshin rose to his four, and proceeded to attack he felons, but found a noose slipped around his neck... One had snuck up behind him. He fought, struggling with all his might... But he soon froze at the sound of gunfire. He turned to see his master... his friend... his father... Dead. He howled in pain, but soon found his maw muffled by a sack being placed over his head. He didn't fight anymore, he didn't care. If they were going to kill him, so be it... at least he'd be with his master.

He found himself however, thrown into a pen, a fresh bowl of dog food in front of him. He didn't eat... He couldn't... and his body soon began to grow thin. These men though, were determined, and not wanting to loose this prized canine, force fed him. At first he didn't care... but as his strength began to return, he soon felt something new stirring inside of him... Hate. He couldn't stand the idea of being fed by the same people that had taken his masters life and one day when they went to help him eat... He sunk his fangs into one of their hands. Withdrawing and shrieking in pain, they slammed the gate in his face... Human blood stained his maw, and a new emotion flowed within him... Aggression.

The humans however, though battered some, used that aggression. They began to pivot him against other dogs, and seeing as he had changed from the pup he once was... He fought. He had to get revenge on those humans, and these dogs stood on his way. He'd take down every last obstacle in his way.

He soon had learned the weak spots of the canine physique and through this 'training' learned to become a skilled and monstrous murderer, his pelt stained with the blood of other dogs. He had become a demon, a creature of carnage... a creature of war. His eyes lifted up to his 'masters' and he waited... For the right chance to strike.

These humans were pleased with their prize they had scored, and as they led him back to his cage one day, he saw his chance... and took it. He mauled the humans, slaughtering them all with the very skills he had learned from their teachings. After his revenge was completed, he fled into the surrounding landscapes. He believed everything was over now, he had fulfilled what he needed to, he had gotten revenge. But, as he looked at his surroundings, he remembered the solder whom took him in... And he made a vow then, that he would live, and kill, no matter what the cost... for his master. He'd carry his soul with him in his journeys and show him the world.
