Hand-drawn fanart from narukorp on LJ. It's a Naruto RPG that pretty much just swapped everyone's gender. That being explained, allow me to introduce the jounin-sensei, starting from the far left:

Yuuhi Kureno (working as always), Sarutobi Asuka (smoking as always), Maito Gaia (yelling as always), and Hatake Kakami (reading, duh). (I play Kureno. Surprise-surprise.)

This was great fun to draw, although I'm disappointed with Gaia. I already had Kureno and Kakami's designs decided, and Asuka came out just how I wanted in this one despite not doing so well in previous sketches, but Gaia... I was at a loss at how to make Gai a woman. With no real decided layout for her, she came out.... well, while ugly is something of the goal, I think I can give her more credit than that. (I think its mainly the braid I dislike.)

Anyhow, it's all pretty self-explainitory. The only thing I can think to add is why I gave Kureno a regular jounin uniform instead of re-vamping Kurenai's outfit. Simply put, Kurenai/Kureno seem like very practical shinobi; if Kurenai were a man (as is the theoretical case), I just see him being a person who sticks to the rules and methods unless circumstances demand otherwise.

And for those of you who can't read it, Kureno's mug says:
"For alert ninja, just add coffee."
I will make that mug some day.
