Cyril was always harsh in both the games and in all the fan stories, like this one.

And regarding the Guardians, Ignitus was originally their leader, and Terrador was his Second. After Ignitus died, Terrador became leader.

I wish you'd reconsider our offer to let some of the ideas from your tales become canon in the next-gen VR Spyro game we've planned here at Activision. The idea of your crystal, that one that does "mind control", was brilliant at explaining how and why Malefor turned and we were hoping to exploit that idea in the final version of the game.
You would have gotten full credit, of course, as well as some of the profits from the sale of the game, just as we do here at Activision.
We've invested all our personal funds into this project and we hope to make it all back plus some, from the sales.
The VR tech alone cost millions to produce, as revolutionary products often do, and if the game doesn't sell, we're all bankrupt.
I personally invested every last red cent I had into this project for no returns as of yet; practically none of it is ready for sale to the general public however we have countless testers, engineers and scientists working round the clock to get it ready for release.

hmm... I may know why that happened. when Vale used his Ice Breath he was driven by a sense of purpose, with an objective, like freezing the water to block Medusa as to block the Drakers and to protect the city.
But after Dragon Time which he demanded while he was in shock of the chaos that was around him and he wanted it all to stop, which then literally stopped time, more so he wanted to rescue his friends like he did when he unfroze the other dragons while Dragon Time is active, that was his sense of purpose.
Now when Poisonbeak got a hold of him, Vale was scared and in panic, not knowing what to do. and since he has no purpose at that moment of panic, his Ice breath didn't go off.
Now I may be wrong but this my theory. I don't think that the dark arrow from hunter did anything other than to drain his energy, like the dark crystals in DOTD, and he got struck by the arrow only after all of the events happened while he fell from his abductor.
Moving on with the current page. First, man Cyril is harsh. Second, if Vale is stuck about using any Element then at the vary least teach him claw to claw martial art so he can defend himself.

Didn't Spyro lose his powers though, after defeating Cynder for the first time? I feel like Vale probably just nerfed his magic when he used Dragon Time, and now needs to re-gain it.

He couldn't use his element to freeze poisonbeaks paw and he thought to himself "no no not good" if I remember correctly. So I'm not surprised to find out he cant use Ice

I have a feeling he will try and breath ice to prove the ice guardian wrong, but when nothing happens he might get worried.
I just hope he won't panic if he finds himself unable to use his ice breath.

That's weird. I don't remember if he ever DID breath ice before now. Maybe not in the comic, but how did Vale and everyone think he had Ice Breath? The scale colour couldn't have been the only indication.
Or am I just insane and I don't know what I'm talking about?
