You are welcome to use and customize this skin however you would like. There are really only a couple of conditions for the use of this skin:
You must be able to use journal skins on DA
You must keep the credits intact. You can add your own along with mine, but otherwise leave them alone.
Please comment and/or favorite this deviation if you use it so I know how many people are using it, and who. This is really so I know how awesome or horrid the skin really is, so be honest. I can handle a bit of harsh, but well deserved, criticism every so often.

You can customize this skin however you want. You can change the header image, the color, whatever. I suggest you keep the header image as a 700 x 300 JPEG or PNG, and when you change the color, you should change all color values in the code respectively. And please use only web safe colors. There are several websites and books to help you with this. Personally, I use the color picker in Photoshop, and make sure the web colors only box is checked.
