Great inking! heh, really nice batman there too. awesome lineart too. he looks abit small on the upper body, me thinks - probably a bigger and harder shoulders and chest to match the arms and lower body. but its really good, so don't mind me. lol

Thanks! I really appreciate it!

I only inked this one though, but I do agree, he does seem a little small lol. But I still think the original artist did a great job on it.

It take real guts to do inking, me thinks. Is it through a random inking or you deliberately thought of the result and did the inking thereafter?

Haha yes, the original artist did a great job that is for sure. Maybe it is the pose.

I would have to say it was pretty random inking. I've never really inked much before at all but I wanted to try it out.

And yeah, that pose just suits Dick Grayson really well.

Ohh that's really neat, random inking. I'm pretty scared to do random inking, scared that I ruin the crap out of the line art. You should do more on inking, it shows the characters better.

Thanks! I actually do all of my inking digitally, so the line art is fine no matter what. But I use a method that allows me to keep most of the hand drawn aspects of the original work. I'm actually working on some more inks, hopefully I can finish some over the weekend

Oh that's cool, doing it digitally. I'm waiting to get hold of a tablet to try digital stuff. That's good to know, can't wait to see your completed inking works

Thanks so much! I'm not sure if there is a technical term for it, but I've always just called it "inking" lol. I've always loved drawing, and I've recently really gotten into comics, so I decided to try a comic book style approach to my own art. So I've been practicing "inking" and coloring lately with a few other artists very fine pencil work. I've got some of my own, but I don't feel its nearly as refined as theirs yet. I make sure to give them all credit for the original pencil sketches, but the "inking" is all me.

This picture is I think the 3rd sketch I've ever inked. I'm hoping with practice I'll eventually get better at all of the steps, and someday I might even get my own comic published

Thanks for the kind words! It really helps motivate me
