Houndoom. I wanted him to be a intimidating and dangerous guard dog. Based on a doberman and ibex. He's pretty heavily build to cary the enormous horns.Related content

This is the best Houndoom I've ever seen, honestly. You certainly caught it's anatomy just right by basing it off a real dog (most likely Doberman by his stature) but that's just the real life traits. You drew the horns on it's head just right along with the metal bands on it's lower legs complete with a snarling, battle-ready expression.
The background is well-drawn too with dark shading and lighting in this town setting, possibly at night with the lanterns and shadows and downright darkness in the scenery.
Perhaps if you made it a battle drawing like if you drew a pokemon or a person to give it something to snarl and bark at for the sake of added creativity but that's just a mere suggestion because this Houndoom looKs GREAT

your art style is very realistic and your shading is spot on where it should be the face looks like a dog in real life and the fur is excellent the essence of houndoom being a dark type is there
some of the background is a bit blurry but i know that it is supposed to be but the lanturns you can barely tell that they are and not just torches so it would be better if you had put a little more details into the background,
the thing is the ground is more 2d than 3d but other than that it is a very good piece of work so well done

This is probably the best art I have seen of Houndoom. You made the pokemon absolutely ferocious looking while maintaining the pokemon to where we can tell this is Houndoom. All the colors flow pleasantly together which is something else I really love about the image. The overall lighting and atmosphere are bone chilling which is something I like to see in pictures such as these. I have seen many images of Houndoom but, yours has to be by far the most unique. The pose, the colors, all of it screams you are highly skilled and this deviation was indeed a excellent choice on being featured. I look forward to seeing more art from you.

Vision-blended the species you were inspired by decently. I can see both...but its a mix that doesn't overpower each other (despite doberman being the body type)
Originality-its a fanart of one of the most popular pokemon and everyone goes for the foreboding look for it.
Technique- I love the background detail. The stone especially looks like real stone. And I can practically see the fur. I like how the doom pops out against the background.
Impact-I was impressed by the work in this-once I full screened it. Otherwise I only clicked because it was my main fandom. Not that eyecatching.

Ok, that out of the way, this is an amazing, and in my mind, accurate portrayal of that menacing Houndoom. Your vision here is nothing short of impeccable.
The originality of the artwork is fairly low, but that's only because it's a Pokemon, so take that one with a grain of salt, would ya?
I can see everything, from the hairs on his tail to the sharp tips of his claws to the multiple layers of his horns. And the background is nothing short of sublime, itself!
As for the impact of the artwork. It is a dark, hellish take on one of my all-time favorite Pokemon, and I love it for that. You deserve every single word of praise for this.

Your take evolves (no pun intended) Houndoom into something that should belong in a nightmare...or at least a horror film. The proportions are well-done, the lighting is executed with skill and precision, and your attention to detail adds to this PokΓ©mon while keeping him recognizable at the same time.
