Damn. That brings back some memories, namely the one of nigtmares that I had even before getting to know who H. R. Giger is or watching an Alien film. It's curiuos that your more human-like, dressed in leather pants, interpretation is closer to what I've seen than original Giger's versions. And, for that matter, that creature was me.
Such an idea that human is a superparasite is universal, so more than one people could have imagined something in that vein, yet a few would actually visualise it, more so draw. I think this is one of the reasons it had become so popular: it's both universal and, at the same time, original.

This one is for my 12y.o. son Igor He asked for Xeno after visiting movie props exhibition where he saw xeno's costume (it actually was a guy in latex pants Then we watched AvP (the first one is not so violent and bloody) and Igor cheered xenos species That's why it's here. And as far as the species concept itself - pure, vicious vitality with perfect survival mechanisms almost indestructible - it's very tempting idea

I suppose myself got the pants idea from Yngwie Malmsteen, as I remember I was damn impressed by his display of 80's fashion back then.
That is to say, the human essence distilled. I would put more emphasis on vicious part than survival, since no matter how powerful they are, they are perfectly self-destructive as individuals, though their kind on the whole survives. It did not feel any cool and indestructible for that matter. Vulnerable, fvcked up by design and doomed would be a more accurate description.

In other words: next (next to humanity) ridiculous species inhabitating universe with no better reason than to survive and multiply I agree

I remember reading a fanfiction novel with a Xenomorph protagonist who ended up commiting suicide upon realising that he's going to lose oneself to the Call, there's no way to resist it, and he has notning to lose in view of the fact that he's going to destroy oneself anyway, for nothing but the cycle continuation itself. That summarizes the idea pretty much. It's peculiar that author did not spoil everything by Xeno suddenly getting remorseful or anything remotely similar, no, he did it for purely philosophical reasons.

Xenomorph with self-consciousness? As the metaphor of the tragic existence of human being, I guess.

Indeed, in that fic the reason for such a weirdness was flawed central nervous system, so instincts weren't working ideally, which forced him to think extra about normal actions, question oneself how it was supposed be and why in order to compensate for this malfunction, survive, do anything in proper and fulfill the goal. Such a flaw was caused by random mutations due to close proximity to a damaged nuclear reactor during early development.
Not a big stretch, in films they're learnt using an elevator easily. Always thought that they are self-aware, but does not use their mind much, why if everything's happening like should...
Quite a neat idea, join the horror of humans getting screwed one by one in unusually inventive ways with the protagonist's horror (devoid of an actual emotion, though) who is gradually losing his barely awakened mind not unlike a lovecraftian hero.
