happy birthday, john. i love you so much, and you really mean the world to me.

this is a tribute piece to john lennon in hopes of representing him through a drawing. it's supposed to be him with the blue sky wash over it to show how he was simple, yet amazing and strong. i have some other ideas attached to this floating through my head, but i'm sure that if i tried to write them out, you'd all be terribly confused...

anyhoo, the full size of this piece is 14" x 17" and since my scanner only goes up to 8.5" x 11", i had to take a photo of it, which ended up taking out a lot of the detail, color, and made it kinda' blurry. i assure you, if you saw it in person it would look much better. ha ha

done with 5B, 3B, 2B, and 2H pencils, and smudge sticks, and water colors in 5+ hours. enjoy!

PS i know this is a lot calmer than a lot of the stuff i normally do, but never fear! i will soon be doing another colorful and more psychedelic piece! XP

PPS the thing over his left eye is a flower....
