Been a while since I did one of this so I decided to dust off one of the drawings far back in the Scraps and re-draw it!Man, I was so proud of the 2011 drawing when I first drew it too - now it just looks weird! D:
This pose is still a bit tricky for me to draw('specially the foreshortening part of it) and the Kimono-pattern is still kinda generic and boring... Yep, I still have a looong road ahead of me but I will say that I'm quite proud of the improvement that I've made so far! The last few days, or maybe weeks, I've been drawing every single day and I think it helped me improve rather quickly over a short period of time.

Your anatomy has improved greatly! You did a great job fixing that foreshortened hand/arm, and your coloring has gotten a lot better too! I actually really like that pattern on her cheongsam, it blends in very nicely. Overall, you've improved rapidly in a period of three years! Great job!

Yes, technically the outfit you drew was a cheongsam [also known as the 'qipao']- which is Chinese. Kimono is Japanese. [although in Chinese origin, they do have a similar garb called the hanfu that slightly resembles a kimono- which makes sense that you may get it confused] But don't worry about it- all those terms can get muddled up! If you ever have any questions on stuff like that, you can totally ask me!
