What materals did you use?
I ask as I'm currently doing some sculpting work (to be used as a cast for a weapons prop for a fancy dress competition)
could you please let us know - as it's an area which I'm kind of still learing.

I mostly use polymer clay . Brand, sculpey.
Oil clay is nice too. Chavant .

no worries - it's a good piece.
Just getting into casting with resin myself.
Surfing the 'net today...There's also a 'polymorph' plastic you can get, which liquefies at a fairly low temperature (approx 50' C) and is usually used to make prototype casts.
It is strong enough to be used as props and so on - but it's hard to get in bulk from what I can gather.
The great advantage is that it is reusable like vinamold because you can just reheat it over and over.
