“So, what do you have to say for yourself?”
“About what?”
“Don’t play stupid with me. Greg and the twins are in there,” the badger pointed to the door with the red cross on it.
“What happened to them?”
“GAH! We could do this the easy way or the hard way; your choice.”
“Try me,” Ryan said with a smirk.
The badger looked left and right, trying to find something. He fidgeted with his fingers and finally gave a sigh and turned to Ryan.
“Okay, you saved your ass today. I have no evidence to prove that it was you. Get to your class, scum.”
“Like my ass that much, huh?”
“GET TO FUCKING CLASS!”
“Well aint that nice.”
Ryan stepped out of the principal’s office, into the main office, and walked outside.
“So, I heard you knocked out one of our squads.”
Ryan turned around, there was no one there. He started to walk slower to class.
“Hmf, get him.”
He heard thumping noises behind him, he knowing they were chasing, began to stride to the hallway with useless lockers.
“There is no escaping A.S., you’re our victim, and you’re not our kind.”
-zzzzp-
A bullet flew past him. He felt a cold feeling in his chest. He wasn’t shot. No, it was his adrenaline kicking in. He made a tight turn to his left instead of going down the hall that would lead him directly to his class. The monkeys followed him.
“Got yah b… huh?” one of the monkeys said when he followed Ryan. He wasn’t there, a dead end. The monkey looked up and climbed the wall. “He’s over there! It’s a clear shot!”
“Shhh! You don’t want the whole school knowing!”
Ryan ran across the small parking lot in the middle of the school.
-zzzzp-
Another bullet went towards him. He made a quick right and ran to one of the exits of school.
-zzzzp zzzzp-
He made a quick right again, grabbed one of horizontal metal poles on the railing and jumped over it. A monkey with a strap followed right behind Ryan’s twin tails. It reached for his back to grab the aluminum bat he had strapped. Ryan made another quick left, the monkey did the same.
As the monkey turned, everything slowed down for him. He slowly turned and started to run straight forward. He saw Ryan. He was waiting for him, back against the wall. His gut told him he was already screwed. He tried to stop running and block the expecting attack but it was too late. Ryan swung his fist at the monkey’s face. He recoiled from the hit and fell backwards, letting go of the aluminum bat. Ryan lunged and grabbed the bat before it hit the floor, he didn’t want to be seen with an unconscious body in front of him. He carried the A.S. member over to one of the large dumpsters, threw it in and looked to his left.
Just in time. Ryan ducked down and dodged a heavy swing from a gorilla with a bat. How did I not hear him coming! The gorilla had turned to his left from the momentum of his swing. Ryan quickly hit the gorilla on his patella and the gorilla fell to his knee. The gorilla turned around to face the “victim.” Ryan upper cut the gorilla and swung his bat downward onto the gorilla’s head. The gorilla fell face first and let out a grunt. Ryan quickly tried to put the body in the dumpster as well.
-zzzp clink-
Ryan had barely had the gorilla in the dumpster when he saw the monkey with the gun. He took cover behind the dumpster as another bullet whizzed by. He heard five more shots, they all hit the dumpster. Ryan got an idea at that moment. He took the gorilla’s bat, spun holding it by its small end and threw it at the shooter. Another bullet went through the metal of the dumpster right next him.
He ran towards the monkey who was on the ground grabbing his jaw and moaning. He stepped on the monkey’s hand and let out a cry of pain. Ryan bowed and grabbed the handgun. He examined it.
“You monkeys are so rich, giving me the best presents. I always wanted a silencer.” He put the gun into his biggest pocket of his cargo pants.
He jogged back to the bat that he threw at the monkey, purposely making it grind against the concrete floor. The monkey had already been sitting up and turned his head to the noise. He showed his teeth, panic was seen all over his face.
“You can’t escape, your MY victim, you’re not MY kind.”
“Please… no…. please.”
“No mercy.” Ryan swung his bat and hit the monkey’s head and made a crackling noise. It echoed throughout the halls and Ryan was amazed no one came out to see. He carried the body to the dumpster and closed the lid. Right then, one of the maintenance workers came by.
“Thanks for the help, even the slightest things make my job a lot easier,” he said with a smile.
“No problem,” Ryan returned the smile.
“How’d it go?” Steven asked immediately when Ryan sat down on his desk.
The garbage truck started to beep and over it an even louder thumping noise occurred.
“Just another day in the office.”
